Complete submerge the turkey in a large soup pot bigger than the bird and cover with a lid. Place in oven, legs first if possible, and roast for 45 minutes. Place turkey, breast side down, on buttered bread. When the time is up let the pot sit for 10 minutes and then move the valve to venting.
